I Installing more than one unit in a cabinet
II you are Installing two or more inverters in one cabinet, pay attention to Ihe folloing.
• Ensure a space of at least 5 centimeters on the left and right sides of the inverters.
• If the inverters are horizontally arranged with no space between them (side-by-side installation), re¬move the ventilation seals on top of the inverters and operate at 40°C or less (model ot 3.7kW or less) or 5CTC (model ol 5.5kW or more).
• Ensure a space ot at least 20 centimeters on the top and bottom of the inverters.
• Install an air deflecting plate so that the heat rising up from the inverter on the bottom does not affect the
inverter on the top,

result in electric shock or other Injury. • Electrical construction work must be done by a qualified expert. Connection of input power by someone who does not have that expert knowledge may result in fire or electric shock. • Connect output terminals (motor side) correctly. If the phase sequence is incorrect, the motor will operate in reverse and that may result in injury. • Wiring must be done after installation. If wiring is done prior to installation that may result in injury or electric shock • The following steps must be performed before wiring. (1) Shut off all input power. (2) Wait at least ten minutes and check to make sure that the charge lamp is no longer lit. (3) Use a tester that can measure DC voltage (800VDC or more), and check to make sure that the voltage to the DC mam circuits (across PA-PC) is 45V or lass. If these steps are not properly performed, the wiring will cause electric shock. . Tighten the screws on the terminal board to specified torque. If the screws are not tightened to the specified torque, it mav lead to fire.

I Preventing radio noise
To prevent electrical interference such as radio noise, separately bundle wires to the main circuit's power terminals (R/L1, S/L2. T/L3) and wires to the motor terminals (U/T1, V/T2, W/T3).
I Control and main power supply
The control power supply and the main circuit power supply lor the VF59 are the same.
If a malfunction or trip causes the main circuit to be shut off. control power will also be shut off. When Checking ihe cause of the malfunction or ihe trip, use the trip holding retention selection parameter.
I Wiring
• Because the space between the main circuit terminals is small use sleeved pressure terminals for the connections. Connect trie terminals so that adjacent terminals do not touch each other.
• For ground terminal i use wires of the size that is equivalent to or larger than those given in table 10 1 and always ground the inverter (200V voltage class. D type ground [former type 3 ground]; 400V class: C type ground [former special type 3 ground)).
Use as large and short a ground wire as possible and wire it as close as possible to the inverter.
• See Ihe table in 9-1 for wire sizes.
• The length of the main circuit wire In 10-1 should be no longer than 30 meters. If the wire Is longer than 30 meters, trie wire size (diameter) must bi
